Hotel POLUS *** is situated at about 8 kms from the centre of Budapest, but due to the favourable transport possibilities it can be reached from downtown in half an hour by different ways of transport. The hotel is located at 300 metres from highway M3 being one of the key ways of the capital and of Hungary.

The hotel offers 134 rooms of different types: singles, doubles, twins, triples, apartments as well as rooms with extra bed. The hotel is equipped with full air-conditioning. The guests can have their breakfast, lunch or dinner in the restaurant. It is also comfortable for marriage-feasts, business meetings, conferences, trainings or goods display.
The pub for 70 persons is situated in the basement, where you can have different kinds of beer and snacks. There is a swimming pool at the reception level, with a water surface of 18x4,8 m, with water rotation and counter current system. Sauna and fitness room are also available.
The bowling centre – made by the famous American company BRUNSWICK – with 4 lanes is situated in the 6th floor. The snack bar, connected to the bowling centre provides – throught its semi-circular terrace –a wonderful view on Buda Mountains.

Short free time, many sights - 2010-09-06
Unfortunately I spent only few days in Budapest but I managed to see the most important sights of the city. I climbed the Castle Hill and Gellert Hill and took some photos at the foot of the Liberty Statue. I walked along the Margaret Island and had a pleasant dinner in the city centre, so I had a fantastic time in Budapest.
